Gentle Readers,
Today the regular morning instructor was away so we had the other one willing to get up for class. We were also joined by another student, bringing the number to 4.
We spent the class working on Sword vs. Knife which was pretty fun with some starting bits practicing falling with said sword, both normally and over the back of another student. I did not do so well with the second one because of lack of structure in my arm so I was collapsing and falling to close. In fact my main problem through most of the class was that I was not getting the structure (Sensei K says Extension) of my arm correct.
Other than that, my footwork was reasonably good and I also managed to get the moves on the first iteration. I'm pretty sure that Cortejo would like the knife stuff.
Unfortunately, on one of the techniques, my partner came forward to the wrong spot and caught my toes and pushed them back just before he landed. The second smallest is very unhappy with me at the moment. I don't think it's broken, but I'll have a better sense in the morning. It hurts like hell to walk on at them moment though.
