Gentle Readers,
Today was the first of the advanced fencing classes that I've arranged to be taught by D. Biggs while he's here in Ottawa. Currently we are working through Capo Ferro and will continue doing so for the next little while. Then probably some Cut and Thrust for a little bit.
foot position is hips at 90. feet at 110. Weight on back leg. Straight line from shoulder to front foot. Lead should should be between feet. Should be on balls of feet. To lunge, bring hand up and forward,to pull shoulder forward, then body leans then legs shift weight.
Reverse the process starting with the head.
Can be suponated or pronated.
Stringare requires not just opposing sword but crossing it.
Point sword to opposit shoulder.
