Only a biased idiot could deny that all aspects of this recent event bolstering my analysis happened to be most significant, whereas factors that cut against my thesis were ultimately irrelevant to the outcome. Let this be a lesson to my ideological opponents in looking to future events — insofar as it is advantages my preferences, what just happened is a harbinger of things to come in both the near and distant future. Meanwhile all precedents seemingly at odds with my vision of how things should be were unique, and should be ignored.
