Gentle Readers,
I am on a phone on a shakey bus without a spellcheck. I apologise if there are more typos than usual.

It has been a pretty good week so far. I had no trouble recovering from the tournament but the drop in temperature has been discouraging my daily practice. When you need to crawl out of bed, any discouragement seems to be enough. This morning though, I did drag myself out of bed and onto the deck to stab at my pell.

It is pretty good for my arm and for my targetting but I think I need to give it an arm so that it can hold a sword and I can make sure I am closing my line. Also, so I can practice hand sniping.

I don't think I have much time for that though.

In other swordplay news, we had an excellent series of classes on Monday. Especially good was the sword and buckler class where we came up with a 5 step drill that combines the later actions of linitzer with the I.33 shield knock. I also remain hopeful that our student with the full cup will come to realize that while you can do something different to survive the drill, that also changes what your partner should do, often to your detriment.

Yesterday, however, I ended up not going to fencing or kickboxing because my blood sugar was up and down like a yoyo. I am not even sure what it was that did it. I have a few suspicions and will be careful to avoid them. Things seem better today.
