Gentle Readers,
While my morning started out reasonably pleasant but then started to get overcome with negative activity. So far it's been water off a ducks back, but I'm worred that it's going to turn to crude oil if there is too much more.
The begining was great. I got up early and got some more of the Body blocking done for the sewing project I'm working on. I'm hoping to have something for this weekend so I can check sizes and measurments. Then I was faced with a cheerful and happy little girl. Everyone was up and moving early enough that no one had to be rushed out the door and so we had a happy and pleasant walk to the school bus. It was even try enough for her to use her new rolly bag.
I make my first bus in good time and sit down. I try and get comfortable and notice the elbow of the person in the window seat pushing into my ribs. "Whatever," I think and move my other butt cheek onto the seat at which point the gentleman looks up from his book on the gospels and says loudly "Are you planning on taking up the entire seat"?
"No, just my side." says I.
"Well you're taking more than half." he says.
I look down and point to the seat division which his arm, shoulder and some of his side is past and say "No, the seat devision is right here."
He grunts something about halves and evenness and I respond with "This is a bus. We all pay to ride it."
He then roughly stands up, shoves past me and calls me an asshole as he goes to find a seat further back, trying to make it clear how angry he is and how I have clearly done him wrong.
So I work on letting that go but then we get the Transpo Cops on board and I get pulled off the bus for a 10 min lecture and a written warning about how I need to remember to put my numbers onto the pass I just bought. I didn't have to pay a fine or anything but I admit to being really curious if this is a real problem that they are solving.
Anyway, this does mean I miss my usual bus and so I get to work about 20 min late.
I'm hoping that's it for today. Thank goodness I have Kickboxing to vent some stress today.
