Julie found it useful to have a diagnosis. She was able to do a lot of reading around and find useful strategies (handy being a psychology PhD!) and has now managed to get herself onto medication which makes her much more able to concentrate for long periods.
I'm not recommending medication unless you have real concentration issues, but just knowing whether you should be going out and reading about ADD strategies for adults would probably be a good motivator.
